At Sureplug, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform.

1. Information We Collect

Users: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address. When you pay to unlock a contact, we securely process your payment through Paystack.

Providers (Artisans & Vendors): To ensure a trusted marketplace, we collect your name, business category, location, contact details (phone/WhatsApp), and government-issued ID documents for verification purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the platform: We use Provider information to populate the search directory and make your profile visible to Users.
• For security and verification: We review ID documents and onboarding payments to verify the authenticity of Providers.
• For communication: We may send you transactional emails, receipts, or important updates regarding your account.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Contact Information: A Provider's contact information (phone number, WhatsApp) is hidden by default and is only revealed to Users who have explicitly paid the "unlock" fee for that specific profile. Once unlocked, the User can view this information indefinitely.

Third-Party Services: We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with trusted third-party services necessary for operating the platform, such as Paystack (for payment processing) and Supabase (for database and authentication infrastructure).

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in response to a valid request from law enforcement authorities in Nigeria.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including Row Level Security (RLS) and encryption, to protect your personal data from unauthorized access. However, no digital transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. If you wish to permanently delete your Sureplug account and wipe your data from our servers, please contact our support team.
